LW East STEM Night A Success
About 120 students in kindergarten through fourth grade attended the event, which taught them about biology, chemistry, physics and more.

FRANKFORT, IL — The Lincoln-Way East Science Department hosted its annual Griffins Growing STEM night on Feb. 6. The school said about 120 students in kindergarten through fourth grade attended the event, which taught them about biology, chemistry, physics, earth science and environmental science.
The future LW East students broke into groups and did experiments about the sky, treated water, frequency and more.
“It’s about teaching future Lincoln-Way East science students,” junior Michael Mavrogiannis said in a release. “It’s a good thing to do in your community, and it’s a way to help the teachers that help put you through high school.”
