Oh What a Beautiful Morning! LWE music dept proudly invites you to Rogers and Hammerstein's rousing musical OKLAHOMA! The spirited rivalry between the local farmers and cowboys provides the backdrop for the love story between Curly, a handsome cowboy, and Laurey, a beautiful farm girl, in Oklahoma territory just after the turn of the century. Judd, the moody and rough hired hand at Laurey's farm, tries to come between this young couple and prevent them from riding off in the Surrey With the Fringe On Top. Woven into this plot is is Laurey's friend Ado Annie, who is " Just a Girl Who Can't Say No" to the attention of boys. While her boyfriend was away (where Everything's Up To Date in Kansas City) , she has fallen for a peddler, a local ladies' man who doesn't really want to marry her. Does she give Will, her boyfriend, "All or Nuthin'", or does she run away with the peddler? Will Laurey and Curly Set against the backdrop of ranching Oklahoma, where the Farmer and the Cowman Should Be Friends.
