Man Found Guilty In Frankfort Square 2013 Carjacking
Sentencing is scheduled for June 5. Yamini faces a sentence of 21 to 45 years in prison.

FRANKFORT, IL —A Richton Park man has been found guilty in the carjacking and kidnapping of a woman in Frankfort Square in 2013, the Will County State's Attorney's Office said. Dorian Yamini, 27, has been convicted of aggravated kidnapping using a firearm, aggravated vehicular hijacking using a firearm, armed robbery and aggravated vehicular hijacking of a person over the age of 60.
The carjacking and kidnapping happened on March 4, 2013, and involved a 69-year-old Frankfort Square Woman. The State's Attorney said Yamini was accompanied by two other men, Chavell Anderson and Aaron Anderson. The 69-year-old woman was returning to her home in the 8200 block of Chestnut Court when she was approached by Aaron, who said he had a gun. Chavell and Aaron attempted to place the woman in the trunk of the car, but she pleaded with them, and they placed her in the backseat instead.
The State's Attorney said Aaron got into the woman's car, while she was driven in another car by Yamini to her bank on Cicero Avenue while Chavell said next to her in the backseat. The two men took her purse, got her credit cards and ATM pin, and withdrew money from the ATM.

They then drove the woman to Country Club Hills and released her unharmed shortly after midnight, the State's Attorney said. She walked to a nearby gas station and called the police.
The three men were caught on surveillance video at a Crestwood Walmart after trying to use the woman's credit cards, according to the State's Attorney. The woman's abandoned car was also located on the entrance ramp to I-57 off 167th Street. The car she was forced into was later located parked at an apartment complex. Police discovered items including the ATM receipt, a Kohl’s card belonging to the victim, and a JoAnn Fabrics card with the victim’s name on it inside the vehicle.

Chavell was arrested shortly after the carjacking. Aaron, accompanied by Yamini, was driving a rental car in Texas a few weeks after the robbery when officers attempted to stop his car. The State's Attorney said Aaron led police on a several mile high-speed chase before they were both arrested.
“Justice has been served through the verdict of guilty against this immoral criminal who
severely traumatized a senior citizen and put her life at risk over some cash and credit
cards.” Will County State's Attorney James Glasgow said in a release. “He will have plenty of time in his prison cell to look back on the wicked nature of his conduct against a defenseless senior.”
Sentencing is scheduled for June 5. Yamini faces a sentence of 21 to 45 years in prison.
The State's Attorney said Chavell Anderson and Aaron Anderson, both of Richton Park, previously pled guilty in this matter. Chavell pled guilty in 2015 to armed robbery in exchange for a 10-year
sentence and under state statute is expected to serve 50 percent of the sentence. Aaron pled guilty in 2017 to armed robbery. He was sentenced to 21 years in prison, and is expected to serve 50 percent of the sentence. The men were given those sentences in exchange for testifying against Yamini at trial.
