A train on the Canadian National tracks struck a man Saturday at about 4:30 p.m., near Laraway Road and Harlem Avenue. Emergency crews found the man under the freight train when they arrived on scene. He was severely injured and taken to St. James Medical Center in Olympia Fields, according to Frankfort Fire Protection District officials.
