Man Robbed, Knocked Unconscious Outside Frankfort Township Home
Money was stolen out of the man's pants pocket when he was knocked unconscious, police said.
FRANKFORT, IL — A Frankfort Township senior citizen is OK after being struck in the head during a robbery Saturday, the Will County Sheriff's office said. Deputies responded to St. James Olympia Fields Hospital Sunday about a man who was injured in a robbery Saturday night.
The man told police he returned to his home on South Long Beach Drive at 10:30 p.m. Saturday, and had pulled his car into his detached garage. When the man went to the keypad on the exterior of the garage, he was struck on the back of the head with an unknown object, police said.
The man told police he was unconscious for an unknown period of time, but when he regained consciousness, he was able to get inside his home. According to police, money was stolen from the man's pants pocket.

Police said the man was not able to provide any identifying information on the offender(s). He told police he had seen a dark-colored, small sedan car parked across from his home when he pulled into his driveway.
The man was treated for the injury to the back of his head, as well as an injury to his forehead when he fell to the ground, police said. Both injuries were non-life-threatening.
