Margaret Farina Declares Candidacy for Frankfort Village Board
Makes Bid Official for the April 2019 Municipal Election

(FRANKFORT – December 6, 2018) Margaret Farina declared her candidacy for village trustee in the upcoming April 2, 2019 Municipal Election.
“Frankfort is a great community, and I want to make it even greater for all Frankfort families while preserving our small town feel,” stated Margaret. “Land use is a key issue, and I will work on behalf of our residents to ensure new revenue streams, stop wasteful spending and protect property values.”
Margaret is a full-time mom who currently serves on the Frankfort Plan Commission and is a member of the Frankfort Lions Club and its Board of Directors. Previously, she served on the Frankfort Park Board as its Treasurer and Finance Chair.

With a former nonprofit career working on the local, state, federal and international levels of government for over 20 years, Margaret understands the importance of advocating on behalf of citizens.
“My husband and I built a home in Frankfort to raise our family, and I am dedicated to ensure a safe place to live while creating opportunities for residents and businesses to thrive in Frankfort. I am honored to run for the village board and bring a fresh perspective to an amazing community we will call home for decades to come.”

The filing period to run for Frankfort village trustee begins on December 10, 2018. Margaret and volunteers have collected over 300 signatures walking door-to-door in the downtown historic district and around town.
