Mayor Proclaims Kindness Week In Frankfort

You can purchase items from local businesses in Frankfort or visit them to receive stickers which can brighten your day.

FRANKFORT, IL — Mayor Jim Holland has proclaimed the week of Feb. 9 Kindness Week in the village of Frankfort. At the village board meeting Feb. 3, Holland said Project Kindness was initiated by District 157-C.

"It's really being run by students," Holland said.

Students in the district have made kindness labels, and Holland said these labels will go on packaging for things you buy at Frankfort businesses.

A group of eighth graders from the Hickory Creek Middle School Poz Squad presented at the meeting and said one of the group's main goals is to spread the ripple of kindness.

The group said you can purchase items from local businesses in Frankfort or visit them to receive stickers which can brighten your day.
