Missing Frankfort Square Man: Police Ask For Nearby Residents' Videos

Police said they have received many video submissions, but only one so far was of Padilla.

FRANKFORT, IL — A missing Frankfort Square man has still not been found, the Will County Sheriff's Office said Monday. Luis Padilla, 55, was reported missing by his family on Nov. 15.

Padilla was last seen leaving his home on North Avenue in Frankfort Square in a gray short-sleeved shirt and black pants, with a light blue bicycle, according to police.

The Sheriff's Office said it continues to seek assistance from the public in locating Padilla, and asked for Frankfort and Frankfort Square residents to check their cameras for Padilla on Nov. 14 between 10 and 11 a.m.

The video was from a resident in the 20600 block of Frankfort Square Road and showed Padilla heading northbound on Frankfort Square Road at 10:30 a.m. on Nov. 14, according to the sheriff's office.

The Will County Sheriff’s Investigation Division, WCSO Patrol Division, WCSO K-9, and Cook County K-9 were out on Nov. 15 and Nov. 16 checking the Frankfort Square and Frankfort bike paths, waterways and forest preserves in attempts to locate Padilla or his bicycle, but did not find them.

Police said they are continuing to work with Padilla's family, other police agencies, the Frankfort community and media in efforts to locate Padilla and raise awareness of his disappearance.
