New Coffee Shop Plans Move Forward In Frankfort

FRANKFORT, IL — At its Monday meeting, the Frankfort Village Board approved ordinances allowing for the development of a new coffee shop on La Grange Road.

The Board approved a major change to the Market Street West Retail development, final development plan, and a special use permit for Dutch Bros Coffee, at 20900 S. La Grange Road.

Trustee Gene Savaria said that the coffee shop will be at the final undeveloped lot within the Market Street West Retail development.

"The proposed project consists of a 1,264-square-foot drive-thru coffee shop located north of the existing Potbelly's within the Buona Frankfort subdivision," Savaria said.

Dutch Bros. offers coffee, seasonal drinks, protein coffee, energy drinks, shakes, smoothies and more. According to the business' website, the shop doesn't have any locations in the Chicago area yet. The closest locations are in Crown Point, Indiana, and in Urbana.
