New Frankfort Village Clerk Appointed, Sworn In

FRANKFORT, IL —At the June 17 meeting of the Frankfort village board, the new village clerk was appointed. Gene Savaria, who serves as commissioner on the Plan Commission, was sworn in as village clerk during the meeting.
The opening for village clerk comes after Adam Borrelli, the former village clerk, won a village trustee seat during the April 2 election. The current village clerk term expires on April 30, 2021.
The village clerk is an elected board position. The village clerk attends all village board meetings, including executive sessions, and keeps a full record of the proceedings in the form of minutes. The clerk is also the official keeper of the Village Seal.
