New Gift Shop to Open Downtown in April

After 24 years, it's safe to say that Nancy Cartolano has established herself as a longtime resident of Frankfort. Now she looks to add that longtime distinction to another label: local business owner.

Cartolano, along with her husband, will be opening This and That Gifts and Accessories along South White Street, near the in late April. 

"The kids are gone, and I thought I'd like to do a little something, something," she said concerning her motivation behind starting up a store that will feature unique gifts with a country cottage feel.

The idea for the shop came to Cartolano two years ago, and she said downtown Frankfort was the ideal location for it.

"We've always loved it down here," she said. "The type of store this is matches Frankfort. It has that 'old Frankfort charm' I like to call it."

Although This and That will officially open next month, Cartolano says she plans on having a grand opening even sometime in May.
