New Lenox Cops Say Kmart Shoplifter Slipped Out of Store

A crook remains at large after stealing from the New Lenox Kmart.

The thief struck shortly after 7 p.m. Saturday at the West Lincoln Highway mega-retailer.

The New Lenox police said an officer was "dispatched to the Kmart reference a complaint of retail theft. The complainant advised an unknown person removed merchandise from the store without paying for it and then left."

The department's investigations division is on the case.
