Reva Sneed (nee Musselman)

Reva Sneed, age 80, passed away on Monday, May 11, 2026 surrounded by her loving family. Reva was born in Joliet, IL on September 23, 1945, the daughter of the late Russell and Elsie (nee Ingram) Musselman. She was a graduate of the Class of 1963 from Joliet Central High School.

Reva dedicated 32 years of faithful service to Deaton Kennedy, where she worked diligently in the print shop and was known for her strong work ethic, dedication, and kindness to those around her.

After retiring in 2012, Reva found joy in life’s simple pleasures, especially playing bingo and spending quiet afternoons working on word searches, pastimes that brought her happiness and reflected her warm, gentle spirit.

Reva is survivedby her son, Don (Bernadette) Meadors; her grandchildren, Samantha Sidler, Alexis Meadors, Alex, Caleb, and Ethan Jenkins, and Robert Newman; great-grandchildren, Carter, Layla, Sierra, and Ervin; nieces, Cindy Papesh and Collette Thomas.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Sneed; her parents; and her brothers, Russell J. Musselman, Jr., and Gene Musselman.

Inurnment will take place at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery on Tuesday, May 19, 2026 at 1:00 p.m.

Per her request, cremation rites have been accorded.
