Old Plank Road Trail Celebration Set for Saturday, Sept. 17

Enjoy family-friendly games and activities and entertainment from Chicago's 103.5 KISS FM on Will County's first rails-to-trails path

The Forest Preserve District of Will County, in partnership with Rails-to-Trails Conservancy and iHeart Radio, is inviting the public to come out for a special program on the Old Plank Road Trail at Breidert Green Park in Frankfort.

Family-friendly games and activities will be offered for all ages to enjoy as well as entertainment from Chicago’s 103.5 KISS FM. Registration is not required for this Make Trail Moments on the Old Plank event.

The Old Plank Road Trail is a place where we can all be active and connect with friends, family and neighbors. Come celebrate these moments, learn more about the trail and its history and explore how regular recreation and trail use can improve overall health and well-being.

The Old Plank Road Trail is part of the Great American Rail-Trail, the nation’s first cross-country multiuse trail, which connects through Illinois on its route between Washington, D.C. and Washington state.

The program will be held on manicured lawn and paved paths across uneven terrain.
