Frankfort Severe Weather Updates: Power Outages, Crews Out Assessing Damage

A severe storm watch also remains in effect for Will County until 7 p.m.

FRANKFORT, IL — Over 6,000 are without power in the Frankfort area after severe storms and a tornado warning was issued on Monday afternoon.

According to the ComEd Outage Map, 5,196 households are without power in Frankfort, 353 are without power in Frankfort Square and 808 are without power in Frankfort Township.

The Village said it is having phone and power issues at Village Hall. However, the police dispatch center is still operational. Call 815-485-2500 for non-emergency matters, and as always, call 911 for an emergency.

According to the Village, crews are out assessing damage and clearing debris.

Old Plank Road Trail is also currently obstructed by storm debris, and crews are out assessing and clearing the path.

"For your safety, please avoid using the trail in this area until work is complete," the Village said.
