Park District Playgrounds Open In Frankfort
The park district gave an update on its facilities and operations as the state moves into phase 4.
FRANKFORT, IL — As phase 4 of the Restore Illinois plan begins, the Frankfort Park District is starting programming and opening more amenities. According to an update from the park district, playgrounds are now open and room rentals and pavilion rentals are now available.
Indoor and outdoor sports can also begin competitive play with a limit of 50 players, coaches and referees, according to the park district update. Fitness programs can also be held indoors now.
Playgrounds have reopened, but the equipment is not cleaned. The user assumes risk, the park district said. The bathrooms at Commissioners, Main and Jackson parks will be open, and will be cleaned daily.

Drinking fountains remain shut off, and the splash pad at Commissioner Park also remains closed.
