Pfeiffer Road Extension Project Begins At End Of Month
The bid for the project was awarded to Austin Tyler Construction, Inc., for $3,939,594.71 at Monday's board meeting.
FRANKFORT, IL — The Pfeiffer Road extension project is moving forward after Board approval of the bid for the project on Monday.
According to the Village, the Pfeiffer Road extension project aims to enhance connectivity, alleviate traffic congestion, and promote accessibility within the community. The project includes the construction of a two-lane boulevard road, as well as a multi-use path, sidewalk, street lighting, landscaping, and a stormwater management system.
This project will link U.S. 30 to Colorado Avenue and St. Francis Road, opening new avenues for commuting and residential activities, the Village said.

"By approving the Pfeiffer Road Extension Project, the Village of Frankfort is taking a significant stride towards enhancing the quality of life for our residents," Mayor Keith Ogle said in a release. "This expansion will not only enhance connectivity but also contribute to community development and the overall aesthetic and functionality of our urban landscape. We are enthusiastic about the potential benefits this project will bring to our community."
