Phillips Chevrolet Celebrates 50 Years In Frankfort

FRANKFORT, IL — A car dealership in Frankfort recently celebrated 50 years in the town. At the Feb. 19 meeting, Mayor Jim Holland read a proclamation honoring Phillips Chevrolet for 50 years in business.
Frankfort residents Curtis Pascarella and his wife Donna are the owners of the dealership. Holland said Curtis' parents started the business.
"We really don't have many businesses that have been around 50 years," Holland said, before reading the proclamation.

The proclamation called the dealership "an integral part of the community."
The dealership was founded in 1968 by Phil Pascarella and was first located in downtown Frankfort. The original dealership had a 2-car showroom and 12 employees, according to the proclamation.

The dealership now has three locations with more than 350 employees. Phillips Chevrolet is located at 9700 W. Lincoln Highway in Frankfort.
