TUESDAY, OCT. 18

Two Morris Men Caught Making Fraudulent Charges

Joshua M. Layne, 33, of the 500 block of Michael Drive in Morris, and Patrick M. Lynch, 40, of the 100 block of Pak Avenue in Morris, were charged with identity theft and felony forgery, police said, after making $2,000 worth of fradulent purchases. On Sept. 25, Power Preservation Inc. reported fraudulent charges for power tools, oak flooring and other items on its corporate account from Home Depot in Frankfort, said Frankfort police Commander Kevin Keegan. Officers checked surveillance video from Home Depot and did their own investigation before arresting the pair at their residences. Lynch is still being held in Will County Jail on $1,000 bail.

Frankfort Man Charged With Trespassing

Peter J. Garcia, 19, of the 200 block of West Nebraska Street, was charged with criminal trespass. His court date Nov. 10.

Teen Faces Pot, Traffic Charges

A 17-year-old Manhattan female was charged with possession of marijuana and speeding after a traffic stop near the intersection of LaGrange Road and Lincoln Highway.

Frankfort Woman Cited for Leaving Accident Scene

Susan M. Conlon, 45, of the 22400 block of Hughes Street, was charged with leaving the scene of an accident that caused property damage, improper lane use and driving without insurance after being pulled over in the 0-100 block of Old Frankfort Way. Her court date is Nov. 10.

Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Charge

Michael S. Matela, 19, of the block 22600 block of Limestone Court, was charged with possession of marijuana and failing to signal after a traffic stop near the intersection of Marilyn Way and Wolf Road in Mokena. . His court date is Nov. 10.

THURSDAY, OCT. 13

UPDATED: Indiana Woman Faced DUI Charge; Later Dropped in Court 

Michelle Lonzo, 38, of the 9500 block of Hampton Drive in Highland, Ind., was charged with driving under the influence and speeding after being pulled over near the intersection of Hillside Road and Lincoln Highway. Her court date is Nov. 13. UPDATED (11:02 a.m. Tuesday, July 2, 2012): On Dec. 21, 2011, the DUI charge was dropped by prosecutors, and the speeding charge was reduced to reckless driving, according to court records. Lonzo was fined $2,200 and put under a year's supervision, court records stated.

Frankfort Man Picked Up on Outstanding Kendall County Warrant

Connor D. Triezenberg, 18, of the 500 block of Hackberry Road, was arrested on an outstanding failure-to-appear warrant in Kendall County.

Teen Faces Drug Charges

A 16-year-old Frankfort male was charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia after an incident near the intersection of Kansas and White streets.
