Prowlers Abscond With Jewelry From New Lenox House

Housebreakers made off with a haul of jewelry from a house on Centurion Lane.

The New Lenox police learned of the burglary Thursday night.

An "officer was dispatched to the 1500 block of Centurion reference a report of residential burglary," police said. "The complainant advised that an unknown person forced entry through the garage service door of the house and removed jewelry."

The matter was sent to the police department's investigations division for review.
