Public Invited to Sisters' Car Parade on June 19

Franciscan Jubilarians to Be Honored

(Franciscan Sisters of the Sacred Heart, Frankfort, IL)

The public is invited to help honor the Franciscan Sisters of the Sacred Heart’s five 2020 jubilarians by joining a car parade at St. Francis Woods on June 19. Cars will line up in the St. Francis Woods Chapel parking lot between 11 and 11:15 a.m. at 9201 W. St. Francis Road in Frankfort, Illinois. The jubilarians, who represent a total 375 years of service to the community include: Sr. Anna Clare Meyer, 85th anniversary; Sr. Cherubim Cukla, 80th anniversary; Sr. Innocence, 80th anniversary; Sr. Theresa Renninger, 70th anniversary; and Sr. Jeanette Pierce, 60th anniversary. "The Sisters' jubilees are normally celebrated at this time of the year by inviting friends and family to a Mass and luncheon," said Sr. Joyce Shanabarger, Community Leader. "Since that's impossible this year, we're excited to honor our Sisters in a new way and give the surrounding community an opportunity to show its appreciation for the Sisters' service."
