Rally In Support Of President Trump Planned In Frankfort

FRANKFORT, IL — A rally supporting President Donald Trump will be held in Frankfort Saturday, Dec. 21. The rally is hosted by Will County Republican Women, the New Lenox Republicans, United Southland Republican Women-Chicago Southwest Suburbs and Will County Republican Central Committee.

The rally is in support of the president and against the impeachment articles. Last week, two articles of impeachment against Trump were approved by a House panel. The House is expected to vote on impeachment Wednesday.

The articles accuse the president of abuse of power linked to the Ukraine scandal and obstruction of Congress, alleging that Trump "has directed the unprecedented, categorical, and indiscriminate defiance of subpoenas issued by the House of Representatives pursuant to its 'sole Power of Impeachment.'"

The rally will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at the intersection of La Grange Road and Route 30 in Frankfort.
