Recycle Your Christmas Trees At Main Park In Frankfort

You can also place live trees at your curb on your garbage pick-up day.

FRANKFORT, IL — Now that the holidays are over and decorations are packed away for another year, you may be looking for a way to recycle your Christmas tree.

The Frankfort Park District and the Village of Frankfort will accept Christmas trees for recycling, with a drop-off at Main Park.

The park district said trees can be dropped off at the maintenance parking lot at Main Park, 284 S. Locust St. Trees must be free of lights, garland, tinsel and other decorations.

Trees will be accepted at the park through Jan. 20, according to the park district.

Residents can also place Christmas trees at your curb on your garbage pick-up day, and Homewood Disposal will take the tree as part of your regular garbage pick-up.
