Rep. McDermed Hosting Free Document Shred Event
State Representative Margo McDermed and ComEd are partnering for a free shred event in New Lenox

New Lenox, IL… State Representative Margo McDermed (R-Mokena) is partnering with ComEd to offer residents of the 37th district a free document shredding event on Saturday, June 2nd in New Lenox. The truck will be available from 9am to 11am.
“A shred truck is a quick and easy process that will be helpful to many who have documents they don’t feel comfortable casually throwing away,” said Rep. McDermed. “I encourage all of my constituents to take advantage of this great opportunity to safely and securely dispose of sensitive documents as a way to help prevent identity theft."

· Retail invoices and statements
· Tax returns and statements

· Insurance claim or policy information (auto, health, life)
Residents are asked to enter from Otto Drive and bring their vehicles up to the truck where volunteers will be available to unload documents. No more than two boxes or bags of documents will be accepted from each vehicle. The event is rain or shine.
