Request to Restrict Lincoln-Way East Student Parking Will Be Heard Today

Increasing the speed limit on Lagrange Road in Frankfort will also be discussed at traffic advisory committee meeting.

FRANKFORT, IL - The village of Frankfort's Traffic Advisory Committee will hear numerous requests during its meeting Wednesday night, include multiple issues affecting student drivers at Lincoln-Way East High School.

The board will hear three requests on the matter. One to restrict student parking on Locust Ave., another to restrict student parking on Ohio Road and a third to rescind restrictions on parking near the high school, according to an agenda released this week.

Other traffic related matters will also be heard, including one dealing with the speed limit on Steeger Road, another for parking on Bankview Drive and one related to a "No Outlet" signage request on Lennon Court.

In the Steeger Road item agenda, bulleted points include discussion on the improvement of speed limit signage between Lagrange and Scheer Road and increasing the speed limit on both.

The meeting will take place at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, March 15 at the administration board room at 432 W. Nebraska St. in Frankfort.
