Man Charged After Sexually Assaulting 14-Year-Old In Mokena: Cops

MOKENA, IL — A Bradley man has been charged after sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl, police said. Sean Kelly, 48, has been charged with aggravated criminal sexual abuse, victim 13-17; unlawful restraint; and criminal sexual assault.

According to Mokena Police, the incident happened April 9 in Mokena, and the victim's father reported the incident April 10.

Police said Kelly was a family friend and was visiting the family when the assault occurred.

After an investigation, Mokena Police arrested Kelly on April 27. He was taken to the Will County Adult Detention Facility and has had bail set at $175,000. His next court date is May 23.

As of April 29, he had not been released from Will County jail.
