Scarecrow Building Contest Kicks Off In Frankfort

FRANKFORT, IL — Fall is almost upon us, and that means it's time for the Frankfort Park District's annual scarecrow building contest.

Families, businesses and groups can join the contest, and pick-up for the cross sticks for the scarecrows already started on Aug. 21, according to the park district.

The scarecrows will be displayed outside the Founders Community Center. All scarecrow entries are due by Oct. 10, and voting will run from Oct. 12 to Oct. 31.

Voting will take place at the Founders Community Center office and on the park district's Facebook page, according to the park district.
