School Bus Driver Loses Control, Drives into Ditch
The crash happened early Wednesday morning. The bus held the driver, and one student from Crete-Monee District 201-U.

Deputies of the Will County Sheriff’s Office responded to a school bus crash at 7:19 a.m. on Harlem Avenue, north of Dralle Road.
The bus was occupied by the driver and a 12-year-old student from Crete-Monee School District 201-U at the time of the crash, according to reports from the sheriff’s office.
Monee EMS treated both occupants at the scene. Neither was transported to a hospital. The student was taken into her mother’s custody.

The driver said he lost control of the bus, when the vehicle’s rear wheels went off the right side of the road, sending it into a ditch. Once in the ditch, the bus swiped a tree and rolled onto its side.
The bus has since been removed.
