School District 157-C Creative Arts Showcase

Sponsored by FSP and free to all 157-C students and their families

The Frankfort School District 157-C Family School Partnership (FSP) will host its annual district-wide Creative Arts Showcase. The event will be held on Thursday, April 6, 5:30 to 8:00 p.m., at Grand Prairie Elementary School, 10480 West Nebraska Street in Frankfort. The Creative Arts Showcase is free and open to all District 157-C students and their families.

The showcase will feature original art by students from Grand Prairie Elementary, Chelsea Intermediate and Hickory Creek Middle School. This year the focus of the event is “Celebrate the Artist in You!” and students are encouraged to attend as well as contribute artwork to be displayed.

Throughout the evening there will also be professional artist demonstrations and special attractions provided by local area artists and businesses. Some of these include a caricature artist, live music from Down Home Guitars, recycled art, fun hands-on art projects, and music performances by 157-C students as well as students from the Music Connection. In addition, Ephraim’s House representatives will be there with an adaptive art area for students with special needs.
