School District 157-C Creative Arts Showcase

Beautiful original artwork to be created by Frankfort students

The Frankfort School District 157-C Family School Partnership (FSP) Organization will host its free annual district-wide Creative Arts Showcase. The event will be held on Friday, April 24, 5:00 to 7:30 PM, at Grand Prairie Elementary School, 10480 West Nebraska Street in Frankfort.

The showcase will feature original art by students from Grand Prairie Elementary, Chelsea Intermediate and Hickory Creek Middle School in categories of visual arts, performing art and literature. The event will feature student art displays, hands-on art activities and live performances. There will also be professional artist demonstrations and special attractions throughout the event by local area businesses and artists.

The Creative Arts Showcase is free and open to all District 157-C pre-kindergarten through eighth grade students. Students can download an art submission form for the Creative Arts Showcase from the virtual backpack section of the District’s website at www.fsd157c.org. Multiple submissions are welcome. Projects must be turned in to the school office by April 21. Community service hours are available for teens helping with the event and parent volunteers are also needed. Students wishing to perform live at the Showcase must arrange a performance time in advance by contacting Corrie Gleason at fitzgleason@yahoo.com.
