School District 157-C takes "Polar Plunge" in Joliet

Raised over $4,000 for Special Olympics Illinois

Frankfort School District 157-C staff and family members took the “Polar Plunge” to raise funds for Special Olympics Illinois. The “Frankfort Cheetahs” team was comprised of Char Ruhbeck, Cari Clousing, Roger Clousing, Ricky Innocenti, Brenda Strutzenberg, Alex Plummer, Megan Murray, Laura
Brannigan and Jennifer Badja.

Team members dressed as Minions similar to those in the movie “Despicable Me” as they braved Leisure Lake in Joliet. The District 157-C team was successful in raising over $4,000 in donations for Special Olympics Illinois during the “Polar Plunge” event.
