Second Annual Scary At The Prairie 5K Planned In Downtown Frankfort

FRANKFORT, IL — Just in time for Halloween, the Village of Frankfort will hold the Scary at the Prairie 5K and Spooky Sprint. Registration is now open for the second annual costume run.

The all-ages race will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Oct. 21 through Prairie Park in downtown Frankfort.

According to the Village, there will be a costume contest, DJ, clown/balloon artist, hot chocolate, donuts, bonfire, and more tricks and treats.

Pre-registered participants are guaranteed a T-shirt; it is $15 if you come in a costume, and $20 if you don't wear a costume. Same day registration is also available for $20.
