Second Woman Groped On Old Plank Road Trail: Frankfort Cops

When the woman passed the Indian Boundary passage, the man grabbed her buttocks and ran away through Indian Boundary Park, police said.

FRANKFORT, IL — A second woman has reported being groped on the Old Plank Road Trail in Frankfort, according to police. Frankfort Police said it received a delayed report of a battery incident that took place at 9:45 a.m. Wednesday on the Old Plank Road Trail.

The woman told police she saw a black man, athletic build, between 5 foot 6 inches and 5 foot 10 inches, wearing a red and grey tight shirt, black spandex pants and a stocking cap on the trail near the east side of the La Grange Road bridge. Police said when the woman was heading back east on the trail near the pond at Prairie Park, she saw the same man ahead of her on the path.

The man's description is similar to the suspect description of a similar incident which took place on the trail Oct. 23. That incident also involved a woman running on the Old Plank Road Trail, and a man touched her buttocks as she ran past.

Police have released a photo of a person of interest in this incident. Anyone with information regarding this incident or the identity of the pictured man is asked to contact the Frankfort Police Department.
