Senior Marketing VP Named to Frankfort Library Board
Jeff Limp, a former Mokena Public Library board member, fills the vacant seat left after Kay MacNeil's resignation.

The Frankfort Public Library District Board of Trustees filled its vacant seat Saturday, Feb. 18, appointing Jeff Limp to the opening left by the sudden resignation of Kay MacNeil last month.
Limp, who is the senior vice president of the global marketing firm Ipsos, is no stranger to library boards. He served on Mokena's from 1997 until 2000, when he and his family moved to Frankfort.
"It's an opportunity to do some great things with the library, and it's an honor to be on (the board)," he said, adding that he had intentions of running in the next election. "It was just a good opportunity to step into the position."

"In the interviews, he was clearly the standout candidate," said board President Keith Ogle. "The board was very impressed by his credentials, and his time on the Mokena board. ... He's well-versed on where libraries are going right now."
The first order of business for Limp and the board will be start putting together a working budget for next fiscal year, Ogle said. After that, trustees will be looking at developing a strategic plan, something the library district hasn't had before. It's also an area that Limp is eager to tackle.
"It's something I want to focus on," Limp said. "They've never had a strategic plan, something that looks out one to three years."
