Sr. Theresa Diane Lopez, OSF (also known as Sister Gerard) passed away on Aug. 8. She entered the Franciscan Sisters of the Sacred Heart in 1957, making perpetual vows in 1963.
She served in domestic ministries and Pastoral Care in our hospitals. She said that she felt that God was always with her, asking her for daily signs of her love for him.
Survived by half-sister Loretta Jacobs and other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by parents Edith and Fermin Lopez; brother Fermin Lopez; sister Mary Lopez; and half-sister Lillian Janes.

Wake Service: Monday, Aug. 12, 4:00 p.m.; Mass at 9:30 a.m. on Aug. 13 at St. Francis Woods, 9201 W. St. Francis Rd, Frankfort, IL. Interment: Calvary Cemetery, Los Angeles, CA.
