St. Mary Catholic School Student Council Members Introduced
St. Mary Catholic School welcomed new members into their Student Council on October 11, 2023.
(Mokena) - The St. Mary Catholic School proudly introduced its student leaders during a special Mass held on October 11, 2023. The induction was filled with excitement as students were formally introduced as members of the St. Mary Student Council. This occasion was made even more special as the students received certificates, student council pins, and a blessing from Father Sam Conforti.
The St. Mary Student Council represents a group of students committed to making a positive impact within their school community. These young leaders will now play a crucial role in fostering a supportive and inclusive environment for all students.
During the ceremony, the St. Mary Student Council 8th Grade Officers were also announced and entrusted with their leadership roles. Grace Sandor, Kaitlyn Miller, and Audrey Bryles will be guiding their fellow students towards growth and success.
Dr. Michele Engelman, the principal of St. Mary Catholic School, expressed her thoughts on the importance of student leadership, saying, "Our students are the heart and soul of our school community. The SMS Student Council symbolizes the values of teamwork, responsibility, and service. They are the torchbearers of our school's future, and I have no doubt they will lead with integrity and dedication."
Mrs. Pam Bozzi, the Student Council Moderator, shared her excitement about working with the newly appointed student leaders, stating, "I am thrilled to help prepare these exceptional students for their leadership roles. The SMS Student Council will be a force for positive change, and I look forward to witnessing the creative ideas and projects they will bring to our school."
