Stolen Cars, Aggravated Assault: Frankfort Police Blotter

Will County Sheriff's Office police reports through April 29.

The following information is from the Will County Sheriff's Office. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.

Frankfort

  • Robert Ruiz, 36, of the 7600 block of West Hickory Creek Drive was arrested April 20 in the 7600 block of Hickory Creek and charged with domestic battery, aggravated assault and resisting a police officer.
  • A 2014 Infinity SUV was stolen from a garage in the 7300 block of West Lakeside Drive on April 22. The owners were visiting neighbors across the street when the theft occurred. A purse was inside the vehicle along with a wedding ring set. The owners were only away from their residence for 30 minutes. The owners reported that they had observed an unknown Hispanic male, 5’6”, 150 pounds, and wearing a baseball hat and a polo shirt in the area before the theft. The man was placing flyers for a construction company inside mailboxes on the block.
  • An unlocked car was rifled through in the 7700 block of West Kenton Court on April 22. Nothing was missing, but a Cook County Sheriff's bage was found in the front seat that did not belong to the owner.
  • A 2017 red Dodge Charger was stolen from the 19000 block of South Gray Lane at 8:20 p.m. April 24.
  • A backpack was stolen out of an unlocked car in the 20000 block of South Hunter Drive on April 27. Matteson Police later found a backpack matching the description of the one stolen.
