Storms Disrupt Friday's Lincoln-Way North Football Games

Severe weather in Frankfort and the surrounding areas has forced the cancellation or rescheduling of Lincoln-Way North homecoming games.

As of 5:55 p.m., the varsity Phoenix will still take the field against Thornridge, set to begin at 6:45 p.m. The sophomore game is canceled and has been re-scheduled for Monday, September 21 at 5 p.m.

A tornado has been confirmed as touching down on the far edge of Frankfort, at Green Garden Road and Harlem Avenue. A tornado warning for parts of Cook and Will counties expired at 5:15 p.m.
