Summit Hill D161: Aug. 13 Board Briefs
The board completed the hiring of staff members, approved a budget hearing date and took several other actions.
FRANKFORT, IL — Summit Hill District 161 recently shared board briefs from its Aug. 13 special meeting. At the meeting, the board:
- Completed the hiring of staff members, including: Meggan Slager, PE teacher; Kimberly Torres, kindergarten teacher; Holly Dominik and Katherine Hole, art teachers; Linda Mohamed and Brandy Daley, paraprofessionals; Julie Busich and Carlos Corpus, custodians.
- Accepted resignations from Ann Morton, Joanna Olszta, Amy DiFore, Holly Dominik and Brandy Daly.
The board heard a presentation on the tentative budget, set a budget hearing date for Sept. 18 and approved a paid time off compensation adjustment.
The district also shared that safety training will take place on Aug. 20. The training will take place at SHJH under the guidance of the Will County Sheriff's Office. There will be a police presence in the SHJH parking lot all morning.

The first day of school for students is Aug. 21. District 161 serves parts of Tinley Park, Mokena and Frankfort.
