Summit Hill D161: Aug. 21 Board Briefs

The board approved an employment and also heard updates on summer technology projects.

FRANKFORT, IL — Summit Hill District 161 recently shared board briefs from its Aug. 21 regular board meeting. At the meeting, the district said the board recognized participants in the district's first summer learning challenge. 40 people completed the learning challenge over the summer, and several students shared their projects with board members.

The board also:

  • approved the employment of paraprofessional Susan Ward
  • accepted the resignations of Frederick Moore, Salana Chears-Walker, Salawna Jones and Robert Stokoski

Lastly, the district said the board approved the 2019-2020 Lincoln-Way Special Education District 843 budget; approved phase one of the conversion to Metasys HVAC controls at Dr. Julian Rogus School; heard an update on Special Olympics for early childhood students; and heard an update on building and grounds and summer technology projects.
