Summit Hill Students Participate in St. Jude Math-A-Thon

Several students at the Frankfort school took part in the annual fundraiser for the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

FRANKFORT, IL - Students at Summit Hill Junior High in Frankfort participated in the St. Jude Math-A-Thon again this year.

Twenty five students at the school joined staff in raising $1,893 for the effort that has benefited St. Jude Children's Research Hospital for more than 35 years.

To participate in the Math-A-Thon, kids from kindergarten through eighth grade ask family and friends for pledges to solve math problems.

"It helps improve students’ math skills while providing the opportunity to helps kids just like them," a news release from Summit Hill reads.

Summit Hill has participated in the fundraising effort for the past 32 years and has raised more than $70,000 during that time.
