The Mystery of the Estate Sale and the Stolen Item: Frankfort Police Blotter

Here's a look at the dark underbelly of Frankfort crime.

There was a "report of (an) item stolen during an estate sale" in the 400 block of Franklin Avenue about 11:30 a.m. Friday, the police said.

Then, shortly before 11 a.m. Saturday, a fence was damaged in the 7700 block of Steeple Chase Drive, police said.

To make matters worse, the "exterior of a residence" in the 200 block of Hamilton Ave. was damaged about 1:30 p.m. Sunday.

On Monday shortly after 5:30 p.m., what the police described as "several items taken from (a) retail store" on Lincoln Highway was actually the brazen theft of 59 Starter jackets worth between $5,900 and $8,850 from Sports Authority.

Also on Monday, a prowler forced his way into a residence in the 7300 block of Southwick Drive "and miscellaneous items (were) taken."
