FRANKFORT, IL — Two people have been charged in connection to the theft of a cash drawer at Walgreens on Monday, Frankfort Police said. Kevin Newsum, 41, of Markham, was charged with burglary and theft; and Laura Quillinan, of Crestwood, was charged with obstructing justice.

Police were called to Walgreen's at Route 30 and Harlem at 7:59 p.m. Monday after the theft. There was $450 in the register, and both Newsum and Quillinan fled the store and got into a gray Ford Expedition.

Police were able to find the car nearby and met with Quillinan. According to police, she denied any knowledge of the crime and of Newsum.
