TINY TOT SUMMER CAMP

Come join us for this fun filled camp that’s just enough excitement for your preschool aged child. Each session has its own special theme like Tropical Adventures or Amazing Animals. Your child will enjoy crafts, music, stories, and outdoor water play all related to each theme.  You’re welcome to sign up for more than one session. Please note: Children must be potty trained and able to separate from parents.

A CAMPING WE WILL GO!

Here is your chance to experience camping without sleeping with the creepy crawlers. There will be a tent to play in, so bring your favorite blanket or even your own sleeping bag. Your child will make a camp fire and learn about camp fire safety…don’t worry the flames will not be real. Songs will be sung as we sit around the camp fire roasting marshmallows. What’s a camping trip without some sticky fingers eating s’mores? Yummy!

IGNITE CHEERLEADING CAMP

Learn to be the best cheerleader this summer with Ignite Cheerleading!  In this 3 day camp we will go over basic tumbling, 4 line cheer & vocal control, 30 second dance, counting techniques, proper and safe introduction to stunting, motion techniques, jumps & team building games.  At the end of the last day of camp there will be a parent presentation.  Please wear gym shoes, hair pulled back and comfortable clothing.  Each participant will receive a t-shirt.

YOGA ALL LEVELS                    

Yoga is a popular way to increase flexibility, gain strength and reduce stress.  This class will focus on beginning and intermediate levels of yoga postures and breath work.  Blocks and straps will be used to enhance alignment.  Please bring a yoga mat.

GENTLE YOGA

Gentle Yoga is a good class for anyone with injuries or illness or if you just want to move a little slower.  Focus will be on proper alignment, breath work and some yoga philosophy.  This class is accessible to all regardless of age or ability.  Improve your balance, flexibility and overall well-being.  Leave feeling refreshed and relaxed!  Please bring a yoga mat.

ZUMBA

A Latin-inspired, dance-fitness class that is easy and fun! The cardio-based dance movements are easy-to-follow steps that include body sculpting, targeting your glutes, legs, arms, core, and abs! Join us and see what everyone is talking about!  Zumba is fun, easy, effective, and everyone can do it! Please bring water and a towel to class.

Registration must be done IN PERSON at the Founders Community Center, 140 Oak Street.

• Outdoor activities, water days, arts & crafts, & weekly field trips
• Summer day camp program for children entering 1st - 6th grade.
• Full day camp will run from 9 - 4pm, Monday - Friday.
• Held at Commissioners Park, 22108 S. 80th Avenue in Frankfort.
• Before and after camp option.
• Partnership with School District 157C for the use of Chelsea Intermediate School, for before and after camp and during inclement weather conditions, located next to Commissioners Park.
• Registration must be done IN PERSON at the Founders Community Center, 140 Oak Street.

Campers may register for the entire camp or on a per week basis.

Registration is currently taking place at the Founders Community Center at 140 Oak Street, Frankfort and can only be done IN PERSON. Our doors will open at 8:30 am. Call the Park District at 815-469-9400 if you have any questions or would like to visit our programs while they are in session.

Looking for an excellent Preschool program? All preschool programs run from September 2014 to May 2015.

A $50 non-refundable registration fee is due at the time of registration. If your tuition is paid in full between June 2 and September 5, 2014, you will receive a 10% discount for the entire year. Additional siblings will also receive a 10% discount.  For Non-residents the discount will be taken off the resident rate.
