Vacant Dominick's Might See New Business

Someone is eyeing the building where Dominick’s once was, but Mayor Jim Holland is mum on who might move into the space at 19965 LaGrange Road.

“There does seem to be a quality business that is moving ahead at this site,” Holland said, as reported by the Tribune. “We’re not at liberty yet to say who this is or the nature of the business.”

The grocer’s parent company SafeWay shuttered the store in December 2013, and the area has other grocers including Jewel-Osco, Walt’s, and a Mariano’s.
