Vandals Break Statue on West Joliet Highway in New Lenox

Someone broke a statue standing on West Joliet Highway, police said.

The vandal—or vandals—struck n the 700 block of West Joliet Highway. An officer was sent to the scene of the crime shortly before 8:30 p.m. Sunday and was told "an unknown person damaged a concrete statue."

The matter was sent to the department's investigations division for review.

Just two days after the statue vandalism was reported, a local teen was charged with damaging a New Lenox man's Christmas decorations.
