Village Enters Sale Agreement For Downtown Property
The agreement is with BoKAY Flowers, LLC, for $325,000.

FRANKFORT, IL — At its Dec. 21 meeting, the Frankfort Village Board approved an ordinance which accepted the terms of a purchase and sale agreement for the sale of 1 N. White St. to BoKAY Flowers, LLC, for $325,000.
According to a release from the village, the Village listed the property in downtown Frankfort at $300,000. Proposals were submitted by BoKAY Flowers, LLC for $325,000 and Great Space, LLC for $300,000.
According to the village, the proposals were reviewed and discussed at the Economic Development Committee meetings Dec. 9 and Dec. 14. It was the consensus of the Economic Development Committee to forward a recommendation to the Village Board to enter into a Purchase and Sale Agreement with BoKAY Flowers, LLC.

The village board's decision was not unanimous, as Trustee Adam Borelli disagreed with the use of a flower shop in the space. The vote was 6-1 in favor of the shop, with Borelli voting against.
“BoKAY Flowers plans to significantly expand their home décor items within their floral design business. They intend to become a very active addition to Frankfort’s downtown shopping experience,” Mayor Jim Holland said in a release. “We thank the Morgan family, the owners of BoKAY, for their investment in our community, and we thank the Cartolano family for also making a proposal to purchase the property. Both families are local residents. Both families have invested significantly in our downtown, and we thank both of them for their continued interest in making Frankfort the best it can be.”
