UPDATED: Village Lifts Precautionary Boil Order for Evergreen Drive Residents

A minimum of 24 houses are affected by a water main break at Evergreen Drive and Nebraska resident, Frankfort officials report.

  • UPDATED (11:52 a.m. Friday, March 16): The precautionary boil order has been lifted for Evergreen Drive residents between Nebraska Street and Sauk Trail.

A precautionary boil order is in effect for residents on Evergreen Drive between Nebraska Street and Sauk Trail after a water main break Wednesday, report.

Residents are urged to boil their water for five minutes before using it to cook or drink, a village press release stated. The order is only a precaution, and residents affected by it--a minimum of 24 houses, according to the release--will be notified by the village when the order is lifted.

No details were released on how the water main at Evergreen Drive and Nebraska Street was damaged.
