Volunteer Maintenance Day Planned For Fort Frankfort

FRANKFORT, IL — The Frankfort Park District will hold a volunteer maintenance day at Fort Frankfort playground on May 13. The playground will be closed for the day, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., according to the park district.

The park district said it will be sanding and sealing the boards at the playground, cleaning out areas, and putting in new mulch in low parts of the playground and the Bark Park.

Volunteers can sign up online or at the Frankfort Park District office. Volunteers are needed from 8:30 a.m. to noon on May 13, and should dress to work outdoors.
