Vote By Mail Drop Box Available At Frankfort Public Library

Tthere are 10 secure ballot drop boxes across Will County, including one at the Frankfort library, 21119 S. Pfeiffer Road.

FRANKFORT, IL — With the upcoming primary election on March 17, residents may choose to vote by mail, and there is a drop box available at Frankfort Public Library.

According to the Will County Clerk, there are 10 secure ballot drop boxes across Will County, including one at the Frankfort library, 21119 S. Pfeiffer Road.

The vote by mail drop boxes opened on Feb. 9, and will remain in their locations until closing at noon on March 16, one day prior to Election Day. The only vote by mail drop box that will remain open on March 17 is the one at the Will County office building in Joliet. The last day to apply for a Vote By Mail ballot is March 12.

The Frankfort drop box is open during library hours:

  • 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Thursday
  • 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Friday and Saturday
  • 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday

The boxes will be emptied on a daily basis by trained election representatives, according to the clerk's office. All ballots will be immediately transported to the Will County Clerk’s Office. Voters should be certain to follow instructions closely on their Vote By Mail packet before depositing ballots into a drop box.
